Schuler SMG, a machinery and die maker, and Frimo, a systems solutions provider, are teaming up to offer complete systems for composites processing. The two companies, both based in Germany, signed the agreement at the Composites Europe fair in Stuttgart in September. The combined product spectrum will range from pre-forming and pre-cutting to the forming process, for example for the manufacturing of carbon fibre reinforced plastic parts or the processing of organo sheets. “Customers will benefit from the extended possibilities of 'one-stop shopping', such as fewer interfaces, better CAD connections and optimized processes,” the companies said in a statement.
