Pro Mach subsidiary Edson Packaging Machinery has developed Raptor top-load case packer designed for production of pouches, bags, and flow wrapped products.
The new solution is designed to help co-packers and specialty product manufacturers to boost their end-of-line productivity.
Planned to be showcased at the Pack Expo 2016 scheduled to be held from 6-9 November in Chicago, Illinois, US, the new packer also allows manufacturers to step up semi-automatic or fully-automatic case packing with a small footprint, rugged, highly flexible, and cost-effective machine.
With a speed of up to 20 picks per minute and up to 10 cases per minute of flexible packaging, the Raptor provides options including integrated case erector and sealer for fully-automatic operations.
Edson Technology vice-president Jeff Werner said: “Customers looking to expand business into new markets and to satisfy growing demand in existing markets are going to find the new Raptor exactly what they are looking for.
“The Raptor is a flexible and rugged machine that can grow in capability as product demand increases. A lot of engineering went into the machine to ensure this exceptional level of price and performance.”
The Raptor, which is compatible with a wide range of case types, features steel frame to ensure years of service, the company said.
Pro Mach also plans to display other packaging solutions at the Pack Expo 2016 event.
The company is engaged in providing integrated packaging and processing products and solutions for food, beverage, consumer goods, pharmaceutical, and other diverse companies.
