US-based metal packaging supplier Ball has unveiled its new printing technology called Matte & Gloss to enhance shelf appeal of aerosol cans and beverage bottles at the 28th FEA International Aerosol Congress in Madrid, Spain.
According to the company, the new printing technology allows customers to combine the two finishes on the same can.
Matte & Gloss technology helps customers in differentiating between cans and beverage bottles through sight and touch, said the company.
Ball claims that its new printing technology is compatible with design or color for a contrast effect where the gloss reflects light and the matte offers a subdued soft look.
Ball Aerocan Americas vice president and general manager Dan Rabbitt said, "As the global packaging leader, we're able to leverage our cross-enterprise expertise to continually innovate and introduce industry-leading solutions, like our new Matte & Gloss printing technology, which help our customers build and differentiate their brands."
The company is engaged in supplying sustainable packaging solutions for beverage, food and household products customers, as well as aerospace and other technologies and services primarily for the US government.
