US based automobile manufacturer General Motors has unveiled new Chevrolet Silverado and Sierra 1500 pickup trucks in the US
The pickups are powered by three new EcoTec3 truck engines, a 4.6-liter V-6, 5.3-liter V-8 and 6.2-liter V-8, each paired to six-speed automatic transmissions.
The trucks feature direct injection, cylinder deactivation and continuously variable valve timing to enhance the engine performance.
The output of V-6 engine is 195hp and 260lbft of torque, while the 5.3L V-8 delivers 315hp and 335lbft of torque and the 6.2L V-8 generates 403hp and 417lbft of torque.
GM North America president Mark Reuss said: "These are two strong and distinct brands - each one appealing to a different kind of customer."
The trucks feature a cruise-grade braking and downshifting system and are available with an extended 6f, 6-inch boxes.
