ConAgra Foods Has Announced The Recall of Break'n Bake Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough

ConAgra Foods, in cooperation with the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), has announced the recall of a limited number of Kroger’s Break ‘N Bake chocolate chip cookie dough products over packaging issue.

The US-based packaged foods company's peanut butter cup cookie dough has been inadvertently mispacked into chocolate chip cookie dough packages.

According to FDA, people with allergy or severe sensitivity to peanuts will run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the affected product.

ConAgra has limited its recall to 16oz packages of Kroger's Break 'N Bake Chocolate Chip cookie dough bearing unit UPC code 11110 87530 and use by date 24NOV13C21.

The company sold the recalled items in Kroger, Dillons, Baker's, Gerbes, Foods, Food 4 Less, Fred Meyer, Fry's, Jay C, Owen's, Pay Less, Scott's, QFC, Ralphs and Smith's stores.

The product was shipped to Kroger distribution centers and stores in 26 states, including Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, California, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas and Kentucky.

Other states include Michigan, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia and Wyoming.
