It is reported that Brazilian distributors reduced its outlook of growth of flat steel sales in 2013 from 6% to 2.5%.
According the distributors association INDA, the domestic sale of flat steel in this May dropped 9.4% compared to the same month last year.
As a result, the sector accumulated and decrease of 2% in sales for the first five months of this year compared to the same period of 2012.
The flat steel stocks of these distributors, who account for about 30% of steel mills sale in the country, rose to 1.061 million tons, around 5.9% compared to the same month last year.
This number is considered high by the president of INDA Carlos Loureiro because it needs 2.9 months to sell.
