INVISTA, owner of LYCRA fiber brand and one of the world's largest integrated producers of polymers and fibers, is all set to add on to the Indian textile innovation landscape as it showcases its 3 premier global innovations, LYCRA dualFX fabric, COOLMAX BLACK fiber and THERMOLITE insulation at the 8th edition of Fibers & Yarns exhibition from April 11 to April 13, 2013 in Mumbai.

Avinash Chandra, Marketing Head, INVISTA-South Asia said, "We are very excited to bring our breakthrough global textile innovations to the Indian market by being a part of Fibers and Yarns 2013.

We are a global company committed to creating value for the textile industry and our customers throughout the apparel value chain via product innovations and technology development that enables them to deliver many firsts in the market."

INVISTA will be showcasing products developed by some of the leading mills from India, through its innovation expertise and technical competence.

Buoyed by the growing consumer demand for stretch denims, INVISTA's patented technology LYCRA dualFX fabric enables creation of super stretch denim with extra comfortable fit that lasts longer. The heart of the technology involves weaving in LYCRA fiber and LYCRAT400 fiber in the same fabric to give the garment high stretch, high recovery, and low shrinkage.

Vijay Punyani, Senior Vice President, Vardhaman Textiles Limited said, "With the passage of time, the demand of stretch fabric in the market has increased significantly and so has the demand for specific LYCRA fiber products.

Special products with 140D LYCRA fiber have been produced and developed for Super Stretch Denim. We also develop Dual Core Yarns for LYCRA dualFX fabrics that have received a fantastic customer response."

INVISTA's COOLMAX BLACK fiber technology supports the growing trend for black colour in various apparel segments specially socks and sportswear.

COOLMAX BLACK fiber uses spun-in carbon black pigment technology in addition to the usual tetra-channel cross section of COOLMAX fiber that gives the garments using this fiber a consistent black color, wash durability along with the moisture management characteristics promised by COOLMAX brand.

Different varieties of yarns with COOLMAX BLACK fiber, developed by Gokak Textiles, will be on display in addition to finished products like sportswear and socks.

H.S. Bhasker, Executive Director and CEO, Gokak Textiles said, "With the rise of fashion consciousness amongst the athletic youth we have observed that instead of just plain white, different colour trends have emerged in the active wear market. The new offering from INVISTA, COOLMAX BLACK fiber gives the garments colour fastness, durability and moisture management characteristics."
