Metal Container Received a $200,000 Economic Development Grant

Anheuser-Busch’s subsidiary Metal Container in the US has received a $200,000 economic development grant from Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corporation under the utility’s business retention for manufacturing program.

Central Hudson president James Laurito said, "Metal Container Corporation is a leading employer in our region, and is offered this grant for investing in a new manufacturing process and retaining 173 jobs at their facility."

Funded through Central Hudson's Economic Development program, the grant has been approved by the New York State Public Service Commission.

Anheuser-Busch made a substantial new investment in Metal Container's can plant that will give the company specialty can production capability.

The investment, which aligns with the company's mission to deliver better products to consumers, also demonstrates its long-term proposal to its operations.
