The Average Daily Crude Steel Output of China Increases in Early April

On April 18, the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) announced that in early April (Apr. 1-10) this year the average aggregate daily crude steel output of large and medium-sized steel enterprises in China totaled 1.6973 million mt, up 1.28 percent compared to late March (Mar. 21-30). Meanwhile, in early April, the average aggregate daily crude steel production of all steelmakers in China was estimated at 2.1239 million mt, indicating a rise of 2.51 percent compared with late March.

According to the previous figures from the CISA, in late March, the average aggregate daily crude steel production of large and medium-sized steel enterprises in China totaled 1.658 million mt, indicating a rise of 0.49 percent compared with mid-March. In late March, the average aggregate daily crude steel production of all steelmakers in China was estimated at 2.0719 million mt, up 0.40 percent compared with mid-March.
