Fashion Emerge Made Small Steps in Building Awareness in Lung Cancer

Fashion Emerge is the host along with affiliates Mae’s Breath Foundation. The event will celebrate the 1st anniversary of this thriving organization that is making small steps in building awareness in lung cancer. Mae’s Breath Foundation honors Eartha Mae Lawson a resident of Brooklyn, New York who lost her life due to a brief battle with lung cancer.

Fashion Emerge has spearheaded efforts to find talented artists who wish to give back to their community with creative design displays. The designers are asked to keep in mind of the theme “Inhale Hope and Exhale the Stigma”. We welcome the efforts of designers Sara Crawford, Janice Laila Smith, and Celeste Lindsey. These ladies will showcase one T-shirt design piece captioning their proposal in a piece that represents lung cancer awareness.

Fashion Emerge is proud and excited of this creative and community based efforts to bring awareness to lung cancer with another format without becoming too preachy on this huge problem that takes many lives- whether those who smoke and those who do not.

March 2013 will showcase the designs of these designers in a mini T- Shirt completion where their works will be judged for best 2013 Fashion Emerge creative -Efforts for Lung Cancer Awareness, as well as guest speakers and highlighting the efforts of the foundations emerging initiative MBF Online support group.
