Subaru Canada has unveiled its upgraded 2013 Outback SUV with enhanced chassis and featuring the new EyeSight Driver Assist system.
The new Outback SUV is offered in 2.5i Convenience and Outback 3.6R variants for the 2013 model year.
According to the carmaker, the 2013 2.5i Convenience model is powered by double-overhead camshaft (DOHC) 2.5-litre BOXER engine mated to either a standard 6-speed manual transmission or Lineartronic continuously variable transmission (CVT) and generate an output of 173hp and 174lbft of torque.
The 2013 Outback 3.6R will be powered by a 3.6-litre 6-cylinder BOXER engine which will be mated to a 5-speed Electronic Direct Control Automatic Transmission with Manual Mode (5EAT) and will generate an output of 256hp.
Subaru said, the 2013 Outback SUV's EyeSight Driver Assist system features adaptive cruise control, pre-collision braking and a vehicle lane departure warning systems and protect the SUV from collisions.
Standard features of Subaru Outback comprise vehicle dynamics control system, four-wheel, four-channel, four-sensor Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), symmetrical full-time All-Wheel Drive and Brake Assist as well as Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD).
