MGC Diagnostics, a developer of non-invasive diagnostic systems for cardiorespiratory healthcare, has entered into an agreement to market and distribute Restech Respiratory Technology's Resmon Pro device.
Resmon Pro is a forced oscillation technique (FOT) device that is designed for the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory disease such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
The device determines the breath-by-breath presence, detects the presence, severity and reversibility of expiratory flow limitation (EFL) during quiet breathing as well as evaluate the degree of airflow obstruction and shortness-of-breath.
MGC Diagnostics chief executive officer and president Gregg Lehman said, "Our agreement with Restech is an example of how MGC Diagnostics will execute strategic partnerships with emerging technology providers, both within the university sciences and entrepreneurial start-up sectors."
