Kefir cultured probiotic dairy products supplier Lifeway Foods has expanded its product distribution to Mexico, under partnership with Baja Food Service and Intimidea.
Through the partnership, Lifeway will distribute its probiotic smoothies across the country.
Lifeway will sell 32oz and 8oz bottles of low fat organic and low fat conventional kefir in plain, strawberry, blueberry and raspberry flavors.
Commenting on the partnership, Lifeway president and CEO Julie Smolyansky said: "We're thrilled to announce our expanded distribution to Mexico and are optimistic about new international opportunities.
"The global market for probiotics is expected to reach $52.34bn by 2020 and Lifeway is building the foundation to capitalize on the incredible worldwide opportunity to fill the needs of consumers."
Lifeway Kefir is currently available internationally across Canada, the United Kingdom, Central America and the Caribbean.
In addition to its line of drinkable kefir, the company produces frozen kefir, specialty cheeses and a ProBugs line for kids.
