Wild Flavors Has Extended Its Processing Capabilities Through The Acquisition of Alfrebro

Ingredients firm Wild Flavors has extended its processing capabilities through the acquisition of Alfrebro, a natural extracts and aroma chemicals maker in Ohio, for an undisclosed amount.

The deal allows Wild to further develop its product lines to expand into flavors, extracts, and aromas for the food and beverage markets as well as to strengthen its Health and Wellness focus and initiatives.

Wild Flavors Global CEO Michael Ponder said that this investment is another key step to continually grow a differentiated and integrated supply chain for the benefit of the company's customers.

"Alfrebro's business will provide improved raw material access while strengthening our existing flavor and extract capabilities.

"By broadening our product offering and by providing a truly global supply chain, our customers will profit from WILD Flavors' unique full-solution approach as the single source of supply for every ingredient needed to produce a high-quality, finished product," Ponder added.

Alfrebro owner David Moats said, "The company has long-standing national, regional, and international relationships with many large flavor and CPG companies; the combination of WILD's Aroma Chemical Business and Alfrebro will provide unique and value-added ingredients."

In July, Wild announced partnership with Amazon Flavors in Brazil to set up a production capacity, while expanding its development base.

In May, the company further invested at its production, development and sales locations in India, as well as opened a new subsidiary in Singapore.
