Another fire broke out in a building housing three garment manufacturing units Monday morning, on the outskirts of the capital - Dhaka.
However, the fire has been brought under control and no casualties have been reported.
A top Bangladesh Garment Manufaturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) official told fibre2fashion that the fire took place in a multi-storey building, in which three apparel factories are located.
“There have been no casualties, except minor injuries to a few”, the official added.
A senior officer in the Dhaka Fire Brigade main office too confirmed the news of the fire and also mentioned that the fire had been brought under control and there were no casualties.
“The reason for the fire could be a short circuit”, the official said.
This incident has come back-to-back of a similar fire in a clothing production unit on Saturday last week, which claimed the lives of around 120 people.
