The ITRI Unveiled Light&Light a Weight of Less Than 100g and in Conformance

The Taiwan government-sponsored Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) on January 31 unveiled Light&Light, a LED light bulb featuring a plastic body, a beam angle of 330 degrees, a weight of less than 100g and in conformance with A19 specifications, according to ITRI. The lighting source of the Light&Light consists of several longitudinal bars of small LED chips bonded on the inner curve surface of the bulb to reach even lighting at a beam angle of 330 degrees, ITRI indicated. The plastic bulb body is specifically designed for heat dissipation in place of conventional metal devices, with heat dissipation performance better than that of existing LED light bulbs, ITRI claimed. In addition, the plastic bulb body has the advantage of lower weight and production costs, ITRI noted. Light&Light has power consumption of 9.8W and can replace 60W incandescent bulbs, ITRI indicated. Source: www.digitimes.com
