Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. (AJG) has acquired Texas-based Professional Claims Managers (PCM), a full service third party administrator specializing in multi-jurisdictional litigation and claims management, for an undisclosed amount.
AJG Chairman, President and CEO J. Patrick Gallagher, Jr said the acquisition is part of the firm's strategy to find partners that help expand its existing expertise.
"PCM will be an excellent addition to our professional liability claims management and risk management consulting practice," Gallagher added.
Under the direction of Robert Blasio, President of Western Litigation, which is a division of AJG's retail property/casualty brokerage operation, J. Brian Hobbs and his associates will continue to operate in their Dallas location.
PCM was formed in 1986, to provide comprehensive claims and litigation management services to their domestic and foreign clients involved in the business of underwriting and managing loss.
The company also specializes in programs that include healthcare liability, private detention liability, architects and engineers' errors and omissions, construction liability, law enforcement and public officials liability and miscellaneous professional liability.
