NILIT, a global manufacturer and leader in the production of nylon 6.6, will be showcasing its NILIT Ecocare newly patented recycled nylon fiber at this year’s Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics Show.
Intertextile, held annually in China, is the leading international trade fair for apparel fabrics and accessories. This year the tradeshow will take place from October 21st -24th in the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, with a special focus on sustainability and recycling in the textile industry. NILIT yarns will be on display at the NILIT booth: Hall W3, Stand E02/F07.
An ecofriendly yarn for sustainable fashion
With this year’s Intertextile featuring a special “All About Sustainability” zone, there’s no better time to show NILIT’s innovative Ecocare yarn. Certified by Scientific Certification Systems (SCS) for a minimum of 90% recycled content, NILIT Ecocare, the first patented nylon 6.6 recycled fiber with deep, uniform color, is both environmentally friendly and highly fashionable.
“This recycled fiber retains the properties of NILIT’s virgin fibers and gives excellent color depth and uniformity in the regular dye process,” said Alon Weiser, NILIT’s R&D and Technical Services Manager.
In addition, the new fabric reflects an overall green-centric ethos of the company. “Our NILIT Ecocare recycled yarn is a reflection of NILIT's long-standing consideration for the environment. Part of our commitment to creating high-quality products includes an awareness of our environment, and a desire to implement eco-friendly processes in their creation,” commented Michal Ron Gavish, Global Marketing Manager at NILIT. “We’ve done just that, by creating a fantastically versatile fabric from recycled products."
