HOUSTON --Mattress Firm will help restore the iconic Big Tex statue, which was damaged in a fire last week, the Houston Business Journal is reporting.
The 52-foot Big Tex statue, which speaks and waves to fairgoers, is a symbol of the State Fair of Texas.
Mattress Firm, a sponsor of the State Fair, will donate about $10,000 of its fair proceeds toward the rebuilding of the statue, the journal reported.
