To effectively suppress repetitive construction and blind expansion of glass fiber industry,the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology published"Entry Criteria for Glass Fiber Industry".According to rules of the"Entry Criteria",new glass fiber enterprises are prohibited to be constructed in scenic areas,nature reserves,forest park,geological park,natural and cultural heritage reserve and drinking water protected areas,areas of urban built-up,non-industrial planning and other inconsistent with the overall land use planning are also not allowed to build new glass fiber plants.Glass fiber enterprises located in above mentioned areas are required gradual exited by the ways of"relocation and changing production lines".
Development of glass fiber products processing enterprises are encouraged instead of reorganization and expansion of glass fiber production lines.The"Entry Criteria"also stipulates that new and expansion glass fiber production line projects not conform to the access condition are not allowed to get land utilization,land utilization and power supply from related departments.
Competent departments of the industry should strengthen the examination and management of the entry criteria of glass fiber enterprises.MIIT will announce the name list of glass fiber manufacturers that accord with entry criteria regularly.
