The expansion is part of the company's efforts to cater to the increasing demand for premium and organic chocolate products.

Cargill Cocoa & Chocolate Cocoa managing director Philippe Huet said, "These liquors are used in our wide range of chocolate recipes and in our organic certified cocoa butter and powders.

"Our customers expect us to keep innovating and adding value to their products, and these investments are focused on delivering for their success."

As part of the project, the company will enhance and expand the Fine Flavor cocoa liquors range at its plant in Rouen, France, and install a production line for small batch specialty liquors.

The production line will use beans from specific countries such as Venezuelan and Ecuador to ensure purity of certified organic products.

The project will see a substantial rise in production capacity at Berlin site, which plays a key role in the specialty liquors production for the chocolate market, Cargill said.

Cargill Cocoa & Chocolate produces and sells chocolate and confectionery ingredients for baking, confectionery and dairy industries.
