Rapha, the British luxury road-cycling lifestyle brand, have enhanced their product capabilities following the implementation of a Cloud based PLM platform. The system, provided by Cloud fashion PLM specialists via WFXondemand.com, has taken away the issues the company was experiencing during the rapid expansion of the number of products and suppliers that were part of its development processes.
Rapha has seen tremendous growth over the past nine years, and was recently appointed as the official clothing supplier of the world renowned Sky Pro Cycling team. This appointment in itself more than doubled the number of products the brand is offering.
The system was implemented by WFX during an eight week period of configuration and training, with project support provided by a specialist fashion PLM team from 1970i (UK based Conceptable's technology division).
Being a modern Cloud based PLM system, WFX creates mobility by making your entire product process accessible from anywhere with internet access whilst being supported with a 24/7 help desk, free quarterly automatic upgrades and secure backed up hosting.
Simon Huntsman, Head of Product at Rapha, was full of praise about both the system and the implementation. He said: "Progressing to a PLM system was a logical step for Rapha, given the growth in the product range and the complexities of managing it effectively. After some thorough market research, we concluded WFX to be the best choice for Rapha”.
Mr. Huntsman continued to say: “It provides an effective, flexible and scalable solution, with all the required functionality we need at a cost effective price. Because WFX is a Cloud based platform and has a clear & simple user interface, the implementation was fast and my team were up and running on the system ahead of schedule. Conceptable’s team and the WFX training staff have held our hand all the way through the process, which really helped us to get off to a flying start".
