According to the statistics release by France's National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE), the country's manufacturing output in September this year decreased 0.7 percent compared to August.
In September, France's production in manufacture of basic metals and fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment, fell by 2.8 percent, after a month-on-month growth of 2.8 percent in August, the production of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers industry decreased by seven percent, after a 22.4 percent month-on-month growth recorded in the previous month, while the output of the construction industry saw a slight decrease of 0.8 percent in September, after an increase of 0.6 percent in August compared to July, all compared to the previous month.
In the third quarter of this year, France's production in manufacture of basic metals and fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment, increased by 0.6 percent, while production of France's motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers industry declined by 4.7 percent, both compared to the previous quarter. In July-September, the output of the construction industry in France saw a 1.3 percent growth quarter on quarter.
