Cloud based solutions and data management services provider Liaison Healthcare, US, has launched a Cloud-based MPI Solution to help pharmaceutical companies to maintain accurate customer records.
The firm's new MPI solution with its cloud-based foundation identifies customer identifiers, which further help to decrease the number of duplicates and overlays found within a single organization.
The technology aims to centralize provider, practitioner and pharmaceutical consumer information in the cloud in order to achieve real-time, up-to-date access to the data, besides incorporating a sampling of customer data to correctly identify providers and practitioners.
MPI Solution also helps to leverage a mirror of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) National Provider Identifier (NPI) registry to validate provider and practitioner credentials.
Liaison Healthcare healthcare solutions division vice president Gary Palgon said currently there is a limited structure in place for pharmaceutical companies to be able to accommodate large volumes of customer data in a manner that allows for clean and accurate matching.
"Through real-time, centralized access to the data via the cloud-based MPI solution, companies can develop closer ties with their customers as they pursue long-term, successful business relationships," Palgon added.
The new solution will also enable pharmaceutical companies to comply with the Physician Payments Sunshine Act.
Under the act, pharmaceutical companies are required to publicly track all transactions made to providers, and in order to do so, they must establish master customer lists that are accurate.
The MPI solution facilitates the transition by correctly matching the provider and practitioner data.
