Swedish carmaker Volvo is recalling 300 units of 2013 XC70 and S80 models due to a problem with tire pressure monitoring system.
According to the US Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA ), a software error within the Central Electronic Module will result in the TPMS Service Required message appearing after 15 minutes of accumulated driving over 25 mph.
NHTSA said that the error will prevent the tire pressure monitoring system from warning the driver that a tire needs air and a malfunctioning tire pressure monitoring system cannot warn a driver that a tire is under-inflated.
The automaker will reprogram the tire pressure monitoring system in the affected vehicles.
In March this year, Volvo Car had announced a recall to 2,742 units of its 2012 Volvo S60 and XC60 models over fire risk issues.
