New Manufacturing Plants Will Be Opened in Us by Colormasters

Flexible packaging producer Colormasters is all set to open two new manufacturing facilities in Albertville, US.

According to Colormasters, a new blown-film extrusion plant is under way on Smith Road, which will allow the company to vertically integrate a major portion of its supply chain. The plant which will be in operation by the end of 2012, will manufacture polyethylene films that will be printed and converted into plastic packaging.

Colormasters will open another new printing and converting plant on Medlock Road, which is very similar to its existing plant and will give the company additional capacity to expand its production. Set to open for production by 1 October 2012, the plant will feature printing and converting equipment.

Colormasters general manager Ben Fryer commenting on the development said: "The employee base from this area continues to be strong, and the support of Mayor Lyons and the City were instrumental in making this expansion possible."
