Fergus and Foggs' owner Adam Allton-Nee was inspired to raise money with the help of local businesses in aid of his friend’s daughter who has cerebral palsy.

Tamworth toyshop, Fergus and Fogg’s held a tea party for hundreds of locals this weekend in order to raise money for a cerebral palsy trust fund.

Crowds of over 300 people gathered on the lawn of the Castle Grounds on Sunday, July 13th as the newly opened traditional toy store put on a show to raise £1003 for The Caitlin Rose Trust Fund.

Fergus and Foggs’ owner Adam Allton-Nee was inspired to raise money with the help of local businesses in aid of his friend’s daughter who has cerebral palsy.

"It was great to see so many local people come together to raise funds for a local girl," Allton-Nee told ToyNews. "We had over 300 people attend and we are just so pleased to be able to bring so many people together and show that independent retailers need to be involved as much as possible in their community to star thriving.

"Fergus & Fogg's Toy Emporium were the ones to organise the event and give something back to the local community.

"We've had amazing feedback and the event was such a success we've been asked to organise it for next year! Couldn't have asked for a better turn out"

Local businesses, including Nibbles Café and Kidz 2 Kidz provided support with teddy bear picnic style food, cakes for adults and a clothing stall.

Linda Ram, Caitlin’s mother, added: “I have known Adam since primary school and we are really grateful to him and everyone else involved for organizing this for our Caitlin.

"The money raised will help pay for the vital physiotherapy and equipment that helps Caitlin live as comfortable a life as possible.”
