For the first time in its history of nearly 40 years, internationally renowned Spanish clothing and accessories retailer Zara has entered into a licensing agreement with North America’s major professional basketball league, the National Basketball Association (NBA). The clothier has collaborated with the pre-eminent sports group to launch a line of T-shirts for the young male NBA fans, between the ages of 3 and 10.
The white, grey and red coloured T-shirts feature different team logos of the league, such as Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat, Boston Celtics and Brooklyn Nets. The range is available online and in Zara stores across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia. Founded in 1974, Zara is the flagship chain store of the Galicia-based Inditex group, which owns brands like Massimo Dutti, Pull and Bear, Uterqüe, Stradivarius and Bershka. Established in 1946, NBA merchandises are currently being sold in 125,000 stores in 100 countries spread over six continents.
