The Fall 2012 National Auto Glass Specifications(NAGS)International Benchmark Calculator,which went into effect September 10,shows an overall decline from Spring 2012 numbers.glassBYTEs.com™/AGRR™magazine analyzed a list of the current top 20 popular part numbers and found that the benchmark prices for 15 of 20 parts have decreased since the Fall 2011 calculator.Only five of the most popular products have increased benchmark price.
The steepest price decline occurred for part FW02734GBNN which dropped 5.6 percent from$266.90 in September 2011 to$251.95 in September 2012.Two other notable price declines from Fall 2011 to Fall 2012 occurred for parts DW01504GBYN(-4.9 percent)and DW01512GBNN(-4.1 percent),respectively.Part DW01504GBYN did,however,experience a 0.9 percent increase compared to its Spring 2012 benchmark price.
The largest increase occurred for part DW01265GBNN which rose from a benchmark price of$239.90 to$247 over the year.
Parts DW01549GBYN(-0.1 percent)and FW02064GBNN(+0.1 percent)held steady from September 2011 to September 2012 with price fluctuations of only 0.1 percent either way.
