It’s reported that Companhia Siderurgica Nacional (CSN), the Brazilian flat rolled steel producer released its financial result for the second quarter of this year.
In the second quarter of this year, CSN realized net incomes of BRL502 million, in comparison of a net loss of BRL1 billion in the same quarter of a year ago.
In the given period of time, the company’s net revenues totaled BRL4.06 billion, increasing by 14% year on year and rising by 11% from a quarter ago, boosted by higher revenues from the mining and steel sectors.
Meanwhile, CSN produced 1.2 million tons of crude steel in the second quarter, remaining unchanged from the figures in the same quarter of 2012.
