Three New Spinal Implant Systems Is Introduced by X-Spine

X-spine Systems, a spinal equipment company, has announced the launch of IRIX-C cervical integrated interbody fusion system, AXLE-X extended angle interspinous fixation system and SILEX sacroiliac joint fusion system.

IRIX-C cervical integrated interbody fusion system is designed to fit in the disk space with no impingement on adjacent structures.

It comprises of a polymer body, titanium plasma coating of bone-apposing surfaces, and integrated variable-angle screw fixation.

AXLE-X extended angle interspinous fixation system uses a bevel-angle plate design and novel unidirectional tooth pattern and is the newest evolution of AXLE interspinous fixation and fusion devices being developed by the company.

The system shows superior pull-off resistance to alternative designs in laboratory studies simulating fixation at the laminar-spinous junction.

SILEX sacroiliac joint fusion system incorporates unidirectional compression threading, titanium coating, and internal fusion chamber and it provides excellent biomechanics for sacroiliac fusion procedures.

The three spinal implant systems have been recently approved by the US Food and Drug Administration.

X-spine will showcase these three spinal implant systems along with its complete line of spinal devices, at the North American Spine Society Meeting in New Orleans from 9 October to 11 October 2013.
