USI Insurance Services has acquired Saint Louis-based Welsch Flatness and Lutz (WFL) and Construction Insurance Partners (CIP), to accelerate expansion as a middle-market insurance brokerage firm in the Greater St Louis metropolitan area.
Saint Louis employee benefits practice leader Dean Eggerding said, "Through this acquisition, USI broadens its suite of insurance solutions and wrap-up business, while being able to offer WFL and CIP's clients expanded resources that come from having a national footprint."
Further terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
WFL provides insurance services such as commercial, surety bonds, employee benefits and private client solutions, while CIP is engaged as a full-service, wrap-up broker for owner controlled insurance programs (OCIP) and contractor controlled insurance programs (CCIP).
Construction Insurance Partners founding partner and president John Campbell said that the firm will continue to work as an independent division and directly deal with independent agents and brokers to assist on all levels of wrap-up services for its clients and prospects.
Established in 1994 and headquartered in Briarcliff Manor, USI operates as an insurance broker out of nearly 100 offices across the US.
