Shima Seiki Mfg Ltd, a leading Japan-based computerised flat knitting machine manufacturer, will be exhibiting at the upcoming ‘Knit World 2015’, the 21st International Exhibition to be held in north Indian city of Ludhiana from January 4-7, 2015.
At the fair, Shima Seiki will display its SSR series computerised flat knitting machine in 7G. SSR is a workhorse machine that features the latest computerised flat knitting technology. The company will also display its latest intarsia machine MACH2SIR123 with full intarsia capability up to 40 intarsia carriers.
Demonstrations will be performed on the SDS-ONE APEX3 design system that is at the core of Shima Seiki’s ‘Total Knitting System’ concept. With comprehensive support of the knit supply chain, APEX3 integrates knit production into one smooth and efficient workflow from planning and design to machine programming, production and even sales promotion.
Photo-realistic simulation capability allows Virtual Sampling to minimize the need for actual sample-making, effectively reducing time, material and cost, while increasing presentation quality in the sampling process.
Products can also be checked using 3D simulation, such as 3D modeling, 3D fitting and 3D mapping.
APEX3 also supports design and simulation in a variety of other industries such as circular knitting, weaving, pile weaving and printing.
Shima Seiki is also the pioneer in complete garment manufacturing technology—called WHOLEGARMENT—wherein an entire knitted garment is produced on the knitting machine without the need for linking or sewing afterward. (RKS)
