Popchips, a US-based producer of popped snacks, has launched a new line of popped tortilla chips. The new range will be joining the line of popped potato chips and sweet potato chips.
Popchips claimed that the new line features lower fat, fewer calories, compared to regular flavored tortilla chips.
The tortilla popchips are not fried or baked. They are popped using the same stone ground corn masa used to make traditional tortillas and then topped with seasonings. They do not contain transfat or artificial colors, the company said.
The new line is available in four flavors - nacho cheese, ranch, salsa and chili limon, at select retailers and online stores in the US.
