A Mini John Cooper Works Countryman has successfully completed a backflip with the help of a ramp, extreme sportsman Guerlain Chicherit, and a fair amount of courage.
Chicherit, a 34-year-old freestyle skier and rally driver, pulled off the backflip in the Mini marking the first time the manoeuvre has ever been successfully performed in a car using a static ramp.
The stunt took place in the snowfields of Tignes, France, on a specially prepared track with a modified (and tough-sounding) Mini John Cooper Works Countryman.
Chicherit is a four-time freestyle skiing world champion, has previously won the French rally championship on two occasions and has been a part of the X-raid Team that recently wrapped up back-to-back Dakar Rally titles in rally-spec Minis.
