Gloucester store will be located at The Kings Walk shopping centre while the Edinburgh site is located at the Cameron Toll shopping centre.
The Entertainer is to open new stores in Gloucester and Edinburgh on Saturday, December 13th December,
The new Gloucester store will be located at The Kings Walk shopping centre while the Edinburgh site is located at the Cameron Toll shopping centre.
Both stores are 2,800 sqft and the two new locations will create a total of 31 new jobs.
The Gloucester store will celebrate its grand opening with a special trolley dash undertaken by local children, Sam Vestey, aged 10, who is undergoing treatment for a tumour and Olivia Warman, aged 9, who has cystic fibrosis. Both have been supported by the Pied Piper charity who raise money to support sick and disabled children in the county by ensuring they have the extras the NHS cannot fund when they are in hospital.
The Edinburgh store will also mark its grand opening with a special trolley dash, this one being undertaken by local children Ellie Arthur and Madison McKenzie who have been supported by Hopscotch Children’s Charity. Hopscotch provides free respite breaks for vulnerable children aged seven to 11 years living in Scotland at Ardvullin, its respite centre in Ardgour.
“We are really excited about the opening of The Entertainer toy shop and look forward to the opening day," said Peter White, centre manager at Kings Square, Gloucester.
"It’s great to see new store openings and especially a toy shop just before Christmas. We also support The Pied Pier as our main charity due to amazing facilities made available to children when they are in Gloucester Hospital."
Jim Riddell, centre manager at Cameron Toll Shopping Centre, added: “We are delighted to welcome one of the biggest and best toy shops to Cameron Toll.
"The store is the fourth to open its doors in in the centre this year and perfectly complements our existing offering. With Christmas just around the corner, The Entertainer couldn’t have picked a better time to open and now our young shoppers will be able to update their Christmas and birthday wish lists every time they visit.”
Gary Grant, managing director and founder of The Entertainer, said: “After experiencing such solid growth across the UK we are pleased to announce the opening of these new stores.
"We look forward to bringing joy and wonder to the children of Gloucester and Edinburgh and we have plans to increase our presence in UK and will announce further plans soon.”
