The APTMA Has Appreciated The Energy Management Plan of The Punjab Government

The All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) has appreciated the energy management plan of the Punjab government stating it would bring the textile industry out of crisis.   At a meeting with Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Federal Minister for Water and Power, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, a delegation of APTMA led by group leader Gohar Ejaz appreciated the dynamic visionary approach of the Punjab Chief Minister to resolve the energy crisis, reports Business Recorder.   Mr. Ejaz said the energy management decisions of the Chief Minister would go a long way in realizing the potential of textile industry in the province and the uninterrupted availability of power and gas to textile industry, while remaining within the constraint resources, will make closed capacities operational and provide job security to millions of workforce.   Speaking on the electricity tariff issues, Mr. Ejaz said that competitiveness of the Punjab-based textile industry would be heavily compromised due to high tariff.   Textile industry is ready to expand by undertaking investment initiatives if it is provided with uninterrupted energy supplies. Availability of uninterrupted energy supply at regionally competitive price is need of the hour to expedite implementation of investment decisions, he added.
