Balta announces the appointment of Hendrik Deruyck as Chief Executive Officer of Balta Group. Hendrik knows Balta very well, as he was Business Unit manage rof ITC until 2000, and was instrumental in setting up the vinyl factory IVC in Avelgem.
Afterwards he ran his own business, a company which he recently sold. He will take up his responsibilities in Balta on 1 October 2012. The Board of Directors wishes to thank Carl Verstraelen for taking up the role of Acting CEO the past months.
Within just one generation, the Balta Group has grown from a small company into one of the world-leaders in floor coverings. The products from Balta include woven area rugs (Balta Rugs), wall-to-wall carpets (Balta Broadloom, Domo Floorcoverings and ITC), needlefelt, residential carpet tiles and artificial grass (Domo Floorcoverings), carpet tiles (modulyss), laminate flooring (Balterio), PP fibers and yarns (Exelto) and technical non wovens (Captiqs).
