According to data released by the Stainless Steel Council of China Special Steel Enterprises Association (SSC), China’s crude stainless steel output totaled 8.82 million tons in the first half of this year, rising by 9.6% year on year.
In the first half of this year, China’s apparent consumption of stainless steel totaled 6.84 million tons, increasing by 5.8% year on year.
Besides, the country’s exports of stainless steel products totaled 1.26 million tons in the given period of time, jumping by 34.2^% year on year.
Meanwhile, the country’s production of crude stainless steel was up slightly by 0.2% from a quarter ago in the second quarter of this year.
