Paramus, N.J. — LG Electronics USA recently opened "the State Room" — a giant-sized man-cave-themed lounge decked out in LG large-screen TVs — in the Westfield Garden State Plaza shopping center, here.

The State Room, which will be available to the public up through the end of March, features some of LG's most popular models of high-end OLED, Ultra HD LCD and Laser (short-throw front projection) TVs.

The State Room lounge, which appears in one of the nation's top performing malls, is a 2,000-square-foot lounge featuring a sports bar, gaming area, and vintage arcade.

It opens Dec. 16 and is located on the upper level in the high-traffic area between Lord & Taylor and Neiman Marcus, directly above ZinBurger.

Sponsored by LG Electronics USA, the State Room has a high-tech atmosphere, designed as a place for men to take a break from the shopping and play pool or try their luck on a custom-built putting green.

They can enjoy sports and video games on an array of LG HDTVs, including the 55-inch LG curved-screen OLED TV, an 84-inch 4K LG Ultra HD LCD TV and a 100-inch LG Laser TV.

Other products on hand in the showcase include LG's G Pad 8.3 tablet.

The State Room will host events with professional athletes and celebrity appearances, as well as monthly cocktail receptions.

Shoppers can hang out and relax in one of the oversized chairs and can order in food from one of the many restaurants in Garden State Plaza, LG said.

"The complimentary service and space is something we created with our male audience in mind," said Bryan Gaus, Wesfield Garden State Plaza senior GM. "We are thrilled to be working with LG as our partner in this first-to-market concept. We have created an environment as a place to unwind, hang out, take a break while your significant others shop away."

John Taylor, LG Electronics communications and government affairs VP, added: "The State Room represents a breakthrough experiential concept for mall guests, especially us beleaguered shopping husbands. With LG, it's all possible. And unique venues like this are a great platform for our target audience to experience cutting-edge LG products in a fun and engaging way."

LG's State Room features flat-panel TVs and putting greens.

Visitors can relax, watch TV and even order in food from the local food court.
