Two New Brands and Packaging Innovation Was Announced by McCormick Distilling

Once again, McCormick Distilling has proven it's a leader in innovation with the launch of Triple Crown Whiskey, Hook's Rum and single and double serve flexible packaging.

As the U.S. whiskey category experiences explosive growth, McCormick has responded with a brand set to rival top industry brands. Triple Crown, with its remarkably smooth taste and accessible price point is made with the finest North American ingredients and 70 years of experience.

It starts with a premium small grain bourbon made from a combination of small-grain rye, malted barley and corn, then it's blended using a state-of-the art proprietary process that results in an 80 proof whiskey.

This final result is a delicately smooth whiskey with a deep amber color, rich character and signature notes of toffee.

"Our goal was to create the highest quality, best tasting whiskey at an excellent price and with Triple Crown, we succeeded," said Vic Morrison, Vice President of Marketing at McCormick

Triple Crown is currently available in 35 states, will retail for approximately $19.99 (750ml), $23.99 (1L) and $36.99 (1.75L) and be supported by PR, advertising, social media and in-store materials.

In addition to Triple Crown, McCormick Distilling Co. has also launched Hook's Rum, a smooth, tantalizing spirit that brings the lore of pirates to life. Available in Spiced and Black Spiced, Hook's Black Spiced is a 92 proof premium rum with rich notes of cinnamon, clove and vanilla, while Hook's Spiced Rum has a rich amber color, velvety texture and distinct island flavor.

"Hook's eye-catching packaging, outstanding taste and provocative brand materials make it a rum that cannot be ignored," said Morrison. "With both a traditional Spiced and Black Spiced rum, there is a Hook's option for every American, particularly those searching for the ultimate booty."

Hook's Spiced and Black Spiced rums are now available in 46 states. Hooks Spiced will retail for approximately $14.99 (750ml), $16.99 (1L) and $24.99 (1.75L) and Hooks Black Spiced will retail for approximately $16.99 (750ml), $18.99 (1L) and $26.99 (1.75L). Both will be supported by PR, advertising, social media and in-store materials.

McCormick Distilling Co. is also pleased to announce its latest packaging innovation, single and double serve pouches. These flexible pouches offer a whole new level of convenience for consumers interested in tailgating, camping and more. Flat, light, and leak proof, McCormick's new flex pouches fit easily into pockets or coolers and are available in Triple Crown, Hook's Rum and 360 Vodka, with more brands to follow.
