It is reported that Colombian steelmakers plan to invest US$310 million in the next 3 years, in order to increase the production capacity and improve the productivity. According to Colombian steel body ANDI, this investment will increase the production capacity to 2 million tons of long products in 2017, which refers to an increase of 27% from now. Besides, the productivity will increase between 10% and 20% in 2017.
