The US Department of Commerce announced Monday that it has formally initiated antidumping (AD) investigations of non-oriented electrical steel from China, Germany, Japan, Korea, Sweden, and Taiwan.
The estimated dumping margins, based on the DOC's adjustments to the alleged margins in the petitions, are as follows: (a) China - 244.54 percent to 407.52 percent; (b) Germany - 73.74 percent to 98.84 percent; (c) Japan - 88.63 percent to 204.79 percent; (d) Korea - 16.00 percent to 68.82 percent; (e) Sweden - 62.17 percent to 126.72 percent; and (f) Taiwan - 52.23 percent to 101.51 percent.
The DOC previously initiated countervailing duty (CVD) investigations of non-oriented electric steel from China, Korea, and Taiwan.
