Blackburn, the maker of cycling trainers recently acquired by Vista Outdoors Inc., has awarded exclusive U.S. distribution rights to Hawley of Lexington, SC.
Hawley’s distribution efforts will complement Blackburn’s existing direct business.
Hawley will carry the majority of the product line, giving U.S. IBD’s access to Blackburn’s innovative and high-performance components and accessories. Hawley’s retail partners will be able to start ordering Blackburn products immediately.
“With such a rich history and one of the most recognizable names in the bicycle industry, we are excited to offer Blackburn products to our IBD customers”, said John Dorn, Product Manager at Hawley-Lambert. “The hallmark of Blackburn is a well-thought-out product line that covers many cyclists' needs, and one that we're proud to be selling.”
“As a continuing commitment to supporting our Blackburn customers, we are excited to be partnering with Hawley and their expertise at speed to market. Our customers can have more options in getting Blackburn products and maximizing their breadth of offerings while maximizing profitability” said Jessica Klodnicki, General Manager and Executive Vice President of Blackburn Accessories and Bell Helmets.
Blackburn was among the brands Vista Outdoor Inc. added to its portfolio in April when it acquired the BRG Sports Inc.'s Action Sports division, which also included the Bell and Giro helmet brands as well as C-Preme.
