US-based Integra LifeSciences Holdings has commercially launched Integra Total Foot System 2, which can address both reconstruction and acute fractures of the forefoot, midfoot and hindfoot.
It boosts the present system by providing several kinds of plates in order to meet the requirements of surgeons.
These plates come in several sizes to meet the different anatomies of patients. Moreover, it can be contoured to fit the requirements of individual patients.
Integra extremity reconstruction president Robert Paltridge noted that the Total Foot System 2 exhibits the ability to adapt to the evolving market, by taking an existing system and making it better.
"Our next- generation system gives surgeons more options and greater flexibility, so they can choose the best treatment for their patients," Paltridge added.
Integra LifeSciences offers solutions in orthopaedic extremity surgery, neurosurgery, spine surgery, and reconstructive and general surgery.
