North American packaging provider PaperWorks has announced the addition of new printing equipment, a major facility expansion, as well as new printing capabilities in a bid to improve printing capabilities.
The latest additions will allow the company to address growing demand, expand customer offerings, besides increasing the efficiency of packaging manufacturing, packageprinting.com reported.
PaperWorks installed a flexo press, which is set to start up in the spring of 2012, to help increase production speed, improve print quality and cut down waste. A second sheetfed offset press was also bought online in order to provide new printing options, while improving quality of the colour.
At the Baldwinsville, New York facility, the company has added a new 240,000ft² line expansion, and its Greensboro, North Carolina facility size has been more than doubled.
In order to support the company's sheeting capabilities at a separate facility, a new air handling system was also installed.
