AK Steel announced Monday that it has reached a three-year agreement with the United Steelworkers Local 169 for workers at its Mansfield, Ohio plant.
“We are pleased to have reached a new labor agreement at our Mansfield Works ahead of the expiration date,” AK Steel Chairman, President and CEO James Wainscott said in a news release. “The agreement continues to serve the interests of both the company and Local 169 members in an increasingly competitive, global steel industry.”
The new deal is set to expire March 31, 2017, but the company did not release any further details of the agreement.
