According to the data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in March this year Turkey's season and calendar adjusted monthly industrial production decreased by 0.4 percent compared to February, while the calendar adjusted index was up 4.2 percent compared to March 2013.
In March, the production index for the manufacture of basic metals in Turkey increased by 0.7 percent month on month and decreased by 0.2 percent compared to March 2013.
The output index for the manufacture of fabricated metal products in March decreased by 2.1 percent month on month and was up by 3.8 percent year on year.
