Highlights include the big mountain collection of snow packs, outerwear and gloves; the DLX travel series for men and women created with maximum accessibility and function in mind; an expansion of the heritage line of packs and bags for men with added versatility; and the new women's Cascade collection of bags featuring unique designs with elevated simplicity.

“Each season Dakine strives to build a collection that reflects our commitment to quality and the new winter line not only accomplishes this mission, it also represents our renewed commitment to push the envelope with a laser-like focus on functional versatility,” said Chico Bukovansky, Dakine’s Vice President of Sales and Merchandising. “The entire winter line features a range of updated styles, expanded offerings and new products that are a direct result of our recent design team expansion.”

The winter line of performance snow packs, outerwear and gloves are built for big mountain and backcountry excursions. From avalanche safety packs for added peace of mind to the newly updated BC Vest for a minimalist approach to backcountry performance, the snow collection features a bold range of colors, technical features and premium materials including Gore-Tex and PrimaLoft ONE insulation.

Rounding out the snow offerings are the Signature Series of performance packs and gloves co-designed by Dakine team athletes Louif Paradis, Leanne Pelosi, Elias Elhardt, Chris Benchetler, Tanner Hall, and Sean Pettit.

The new series of men’s and women’s DLX travel bags are carefully crafted fusing performance and functionality. Each style is designed with maximum accessibility in mind for effortless travel.

The larger volume DLX Roller 80L features split level design for easy access to contents while fleece lined accessory pockets, adjustable dividers and a cinch style shoe/laundry bag keep everything in order. The DLX Carry On 46L includes an expandable main compartment for those inevitable purchases, split level design, a fleece lined and padded iPad sleeve, plus interior organizer pockets for in-flight essentials.

Winter 2015 also features an expansion of the men’s heritage packs and bags designed with a thoughtful approach to functional versatility while paying homage to Dakine’s roots. Technology pockets, multiple wear options and effortless access points allow the user to adjust to varying conditions.

The larger volume Vagabond and Compass packs not only carry a laptop plus gear, but they also transform into deployable hip packs. The new Mod pack features a minimalist outer design, laptop sleeve and removable accessory pouch to keep everything in place.

The 2 For 1 Hip Pack morphs into a deployable backpack and the Sherpa Duffle offers multiple carry options including stowable backpack straps and removable shoulder strap.

The women’s Cascade collection of bags is designed for navigating the urban landscape without worrying about getting lost in the crowd. Each style features an elevated simplicity blended with functional style and heritage aesthetics.

From roll top packs, to versatile styles with multiple wear options, each design is packed with unique details, interesting materials and just the right spot for a laptop plus daily essentials. The Dover 18L pack features padded laptop and iPad sleeves, metal hardware, rope pulls and multiple pockets.

For the winter ’15 season, Dakine is proud to continue its commitment to incorporating eco-friendly materials in its products with new prints made from 100% recycled plastic bottles offered in dozens of styles for men and women.

Retailers can preview the complete winter ’15 collection including packs (snow, photo, surf, skate, street and commuter styles), the women’s collection, travel/gear bags, gloves, outerwear, base layers, hats and more at upcoming 2014 trade shows.
