Rougier Reflected a First Marginal Decline in Turnover Again in The First Half of 2012

Turnover of the French tropical timber group Rougier reflected a first marginal decline in turnover again in the first half of 2012. At an amount of €73.8m, the group was just 0.5% short of last year's turnover. In this context Rougier, particularly in the period between April and June, was confronted by a decline of 7.6% to €36.6m, following a 7.7% increase in turnover during the first three months of the year. The company considers this decline to be due principally to difficult economic conditions and the slackening off of European business for Rougier. This development had already been observed by the company in the first three months.
